Dr. Floyd Godfrey, PhD, LPC, CCS, CSAT-S

A Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona, I am also an approved supervisor since 2004 with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health, a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist Supervisor (CSAT-S), and a Certified Clinical Sexologist (CCS).  After receiving my education from Arizona State University, Ottawa University, and the International Institute for Clinical Sexology, I worked for nine years with the City of Tempe Social Services, as a supervisor assisting school-age children and their families. Since then I have worked in a variety of mental health settings both as a professional and within church ministry.

Currently I am the Director of the Sexual Addiction & Betrayal Trauma (SABR) program, which is a clinical intervention for men with sexual addiction and their partners. I am co-author of the book “Band of Brothers,” a clinical intervention for adolescent boys with sexual compulsions. I am a member of SASH (Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health), IITAP (International Institute for Trauma & Addiction Professionals), and the AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors).  I also serve as the Executive Director of Family Strategies Counseling Center, a licensed mental health agency, where I train and supervise clinical staff and university interns, and work part-time within the agency to provide individual counseling for adults, youth, and families. I am often known for my research and intervention with those who struggle with sexualized attachments and eroticized emotions.

While committed to clinical excellence, I maintain a Biblical-worldview of Christian living and believe that faith in God is important for spiritual growth and healing.
